COVID-19 Update

As the novel COVID-19 crisis continues, we here at Luv Tea are doing everything possible to keep as many people safe as possible. For starters, we enhanced our weekly deep cleaning procedures to better adhere to WHO and CDC guidelines. In addition to that, we have also decided to sadly temporarily shut down all operations in our 37A Bedford Street location so we can help keep our staff safe as well as the health of our beloved customers and neighbors.

The decision to temporarily close was not easy, but seeing what is happening around the globe and having our friends in China providing us with information not seen on the news, we have decided to be extremely cautious.

What we are seeing in the United States is very similar to what happened in various parts of China in the beginning stages of the outbreak. People were not completely understanding the full gravity of the situation and were not taking things seriously. The result was a devastating loss of human life.

In a close-knit society like New York City, we have a responsibility to each other to keep each other safe. While we could open for pickups or delivery, management decided that to put our staff at risk is too much of a danger. Ideally, no one should be coming to work.

So please, from everyone here at Luv Tea, please stay inside and avoid gatherings. This virus can spread to people and by the time most people find out, they have infected people close to them. This is something that needs to be taken seriously and to be tackled by the community together.

To ease people’s transition, we have lowered the cost of shipping for everything in our online store. We will also be providing more updates on how to make teas, views from our farms in Taiwan and how we are dealing with the virus there, as well as interesting videos to keep everyone connected and entertained.
