Masala Chai

Chai comes from the Hindi word for tea from Chinese. Masala Chai is a a blend of this tea with a variety of spices. This type of tea is so popular that most families in India would have their own specific blend, which makes discovering new flavors a lot of fun.

Here at Luv Tea, Jaesy decided to use a gunpowder Assam black tea as its base due to how fast it can infuse in milk. Adding to this base, we have black peppercorn, cloves, cardamom, and of course, our favorite spice – ginger.

This tea is designed to be served Indian style, which forgoes the multiple steeping method, and can be boiled in either milk or water.
